While Biscotti has origins as far back as the Roman Empire, Cantucci are a type of biscotti that originated during the Renaissance, in Prato. This intensely flavored, artisanal treat is made in small batches in Mari’s home kitchen. Cantucci are made for dipping into your favorite beverage, hot or cold. I often pair it with a glass of wine after dinner or with coffee in the morning. It has become a family favorite during holidays where, inspired by my trips to Florence, we pair it with Vin Santo and serve it between the main course and the dessert course.
